How a book reaches the library

We treat an electronic edition as a source that needs review. Automated conversion helps separate works and remove Chinese-language passages, but it does not replace editorial checks.

Our review steps

  1. Identify each individual work from the source edition's table of contents and verify its boundary.
  2. Check the English title, author credit, chapter order, and visible edition information.
  3. Compare opening, middle, and ending passages with the source and scan for missing, duplicated, or corrupted text.
  4. Remove Chinese-language text from the public English reading copy while preserving English passages and meaningful punctuation.
  5. Add an original English introduction or reading note and review it for accuracy and usefulness.
  6. Publish only after the title and full text pass the editorial checklist.

Corrections

If you find a title, credit, or text issue, contact the editorial team through the contact page. Include the book title and chapter or passage so we can investigate it.
